My client is a high-growth and innovative solutions provider who have a unique product offering & an impressive list of blue-chip clients. As they continue to grow in the UK and the wider EMEA region they are now looking for a Solutions Consultant to join their team.
The role will involve classic pre and post sales activity, working closely with the sales team to provide technical pre-sales support during the sales cycle (identification of opportunities, qualification through to solution design etc.) and post implementation/delivery, working with clients to ensure they are using & deriving value from the product.
You will become an SME on their products & be answer internal and external queries & play a key role in ensuring the solutions remain market leader (e.g. competitor analysis, best practice review, innovation reviews) and work closely with the development team to ensure you have a strong grasp of the road map, planned changes etc. & can anticipate client responses & feedback as well as pro-actively keeping clients abreast of the products direction, plans etc.
Requirements gathering, developing POC's, interfacing between Development, Product Management, Sales and Clients will be a core activity as well as ensuring there that what the business sells will deliver real benefit to the client. In this regard you will require first class communication skills & be able to understand the different drivers in different business units & build relationships internally & externally.
A strong background in Professional Services/Consulting is essential ideally at the enterprise level. You need genuine hybrid skills- understanding consulting/product services & the tech behind it as well as a strong grasp of commercials, the sales cycle, relationship building, client management et al.
